Newport Beach Engagement Shoot

Middle school and High school sweethearts Brianna and Danny have been together for more than nine years. Last, Wednesday I did Brianna's make-up for their engagement shoot with ArlethGPhotography. We wanted softer more settle make-up but also having her eyes pop out. Therefore, on the top lids I stuck with  earthy tones and gave her eyes a pop-out by using an aqua blue color on the bottom. Brianna it was awesome working with you! Here are some face shots...

Styled Shoot

After a stressful engineer year, stay at home mom has been the best thing I have done during these past four months because it is the first time in six years that I've had no worries about school or work but simply enjoyed the time I've spent with my four year old Allison. Weekly beach trips, chuck-e-cheese, movies, dinners, shopping, Castle Park, manicures, endless play time...you name it we have done it all.  But that is not all, I have also enhanced my cooking skills last week I made chillaquilles but this time I did not burn the tortilla's. Aside, from all that I got to collaborate with awesome Fernanda from Pose Photography and with our new rockin' model Shiany Aguero on this styled shoot which we had been planning for months but for some odd circumstances we keep postponing. Until last Monday of course, were we also faced a few obstacles...first of all, I was quite stressed out because not only was my phone not working but on my way there the main road was closed due to high winds so I had to take a crazy detour which delayed me half an hour, Shiany was stuck in traffic, and Fernanda began a new job which let her out later than expected. Luckily, we all managed to make it on site around the same time and everything worked out because Fernanda was able to capture these amazing shots, Shiany rocked the camera, and me...I was able to work my magic. Ladies it was fantastic working with you and here is to the beginning to many more shoots together....Thank you, thank you, thank you :)

Chownna G Bride to Be :)

Ages ago, back in the high school days ago, or should I say 6 or 7 years ago...Okay forever ago, I recall a conversation amongst my three best friends and I. You know the typical conversation that every wondering mind of a typical group of teenage besties has. Hmmm...I wonder who will be the first one of us to get married? We all decided as follows...Nicole or Raeann would for sure be the first ones to marry, then me, and the last one would definitely have to be Shawnna. To our surprise Miss Shawnna Hutchinson will be the first one to tie the knot tomorrow!! I am excited to announce that tomorrow early morning I will be doing the hair and make-up of my first of high school best friends to get married. Congratulations to Shawnna and Jacob! I'm very happy for both of you :)

Lj's Wedding Look :)

My apologies for being far too long since I have updated this thing...Recently, I had been pondering of all the kind brides I have had the oportunity to work with, the experiences, their awesome stories of how they meet their now or future hubbies, and how it was they decided to tie the knot. Okay...I admit it I am a total sucker for love stories. It's just mind blowing how at first two strangers develop a friendship which sooner develops into something more. Suddenly, he knows that she is the one and she knows for sure that he is the one.

This past September, I had the wonderful oportunity to work with Lj the writer of Eating with One Chopstick and host of a Christian radio station in the Philipines. I was so excited for her and John to finally walk down the ile after being in a long distance relationship for a couple years :)

Here are the pictures...courtesy of the bessssst ArlethGPhotography :)

Lj was not used to wearing much make-up and her biggest thing was to wear enough so that it looked good in the pictures but still looking like herself. She made a great choice! For those of you who are not used to wearing a ton of make-up do not try to over do it on your wedding day. Chances are you will not feel like yourself so natural and settle is the way to go...Enjoy ;)
